DES:djk 71/16/95 (037/41) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 11/17/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12636 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DECLARING <br /> CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br /> ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 1995 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of Redwood City, by Resolution No. <br />12494, duly passed and adopted on June 12, 1995, called for the <br />general municipal election held on Tuesday November 7, 1995 and <br />requested consolidation thereof with the Redwood City Elementary <br />School District election; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Elections Code <br />Section 10263, the County Clerk has canvassed the returns and <br />forwarded to the City Clerk the certified results thereof for the <br /> <br />general municipal election held on Tuesday, November 7, 1995; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City shall be, and <br />is hereby, instructed to enter this resolution in the minutes of <br />this Council as a statement of the result of said election. <br /> <br /> 2. The whole number of votes cast in said City at said <br />general municipal election was 8422 votes. <br /> <br /> 3. The list of candidates nominated for the office of <br />Councilmember to be filled at said general municipal election and <br />the names of the candidates which were set forth in the petitions <br />assembled and filed with the City Clerk, as required by law, and <br />the number of votes cast in favor of each of the candidates were <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
