01/14/2008 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2326 <br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING <br /> ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND <br /> ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE "INTERNATIONAL FIRE <br /> CODE, 2006 EDITION", AS PUBLISHED BY THE <br /> INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code of <br /> Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 2. A new Article II (commencing at 12.7) is hereby added in its <br /> entirety to Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as <br /> follows: <br /> "ARTICLE II <br /> FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br /> Section 12.7. Adoption; Conflicts. <br /> A. Pursuant to Sections 50022.1 et seq., of the California Government Code <br /> and Section 15 of the Charter of the City, the `International Fire Code, 2006 <br /> Edition (including appendices divisions B, C, D, E, F, and G, as published by <br /> the International Code Council, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within <br /> the City to the same extent as set out in full herein, except as expressly <br /> amended by the provisions of this Article. <br /> B. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Fire Code and the <br /> provisions of this Article, the latter shall govern. (Ord. No. 2242, § 2, 12-5- <br /> 2002) <br /> Section 12.8.
