01/14/2008 <br /> inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence, fire hazard, disaster <br /> damage or abandonment as specified in this Code or any other ordinance of the <br /> City, are, for the purpose of this Section, unsafe buildings. All such unsafe <br /> buildings are hereby declared to be public nuisances and shall be abated by <br /> repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal in accordance with the procedures <br /> specified in Article II of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Municipal Code and <br /> implemented by the Fire Chief, or by any other procedure allowed by law. (Ord. <br /> No. 2242, § 2, 12-5-2002) <br /> Section 12.17. SECTION 111.4 OF THE FIRE CODE AMENDED. <br /> Section 111.4 is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> Section 111.4. Failure to Comply. <br /> Any person who shall continue to work after having been served with a stop work <br /> order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a <br /> violation or unsafe condition, shall be guilty of an infraction as specified in <br /> Section 12.31 of the Redwood City Municipal Code. Each day that a violation <br /> continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense. <br /> (Ord. No. 2242, § 2, 12-5-2002) <br /> Section 12.18. SECTION 508.1.1 OF THE FIRE CODE ADDED. <br /> Section 508.1.1 is hereby added to the Fire Code to read as follows: <br /> Section 508.1.1. Fire Main, Hydrant Specifications. <br /> Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Code, all water mains <br /> providing a water supply for fire protection, both to fire hydrants and to fire <br /> service systems, shall be not less than eight inches (8") in diameter (inside <br /> measurement). Maintenance of privately-owned water mains, fire hydrants, or <br /> other fire service systems (collectively referred to as 'Facilities') shall be <br /> performed by, and be the responsibility of, the owners thereof, and the City shall <br /> assume no liability for damages to the Facilities in performing tests to, or in <br /> using, such Facilities.
