<br />01/14/2008 <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />BUILDING ATTENDANT I <br />BUILDING ATTENDANT II <br />BUILDING ATTENDANT III <br /> <br />DEFINITION <br /> <br />To assist with classroom set up and breakdowns; and to perform minor cleaning <br />and light facility up-keep. <br /> <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br /> <br />Buildin~ Attendant I - This is the entry level class in the Building Attendant <br />series. Incumbents in this class work under close supervison. As experience is <br />gained, there is more independence of action, under established guidelines. <br /> <br />Buildina Attendant II - This is the journey level class in the Building Attendant <br />series. Incumbents are expected to work independently in the absence of close <br />supervision. The Building Attendant II is distinguished from the Building <br />Attendant I is expected to perform light facility up-keep duties in addition to minor <br />cleaning. <br /> <br />Buildin~ Attendant III - The Building Attendant III is the advanced journey level <br />class in the Building Attendant series. This class is distinguished from the <br />Building Attendant II in that the incumbents are expected to perform more <br />complex cleaning and up-keep work in addition. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> <br />Buildin~ Attendant I - Receives functional and technical supervision from the <br />Facility Aide and general supervision from higher level department personnel. <br /> <br />Buildina Attendant II - Receives functional and technical supervision from the <br />Facility Aide. Receives general supervision from higher level department <br />personnel. <br /> <br />BuildinQ Attendant III - Provides functional and technical supervision to gym <br />and teen center staff.
