6.G. - Page 4 of 13 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN <br />TO UPDATE THE SALARY RANGES FOR CERTAIN CLASSIFICATIONS <br />TO MEET LOCAL MINIMUM WAGE REQUIREMENTS AND TO CHANGE <br />THE SINGLE SALARY STEP FOR THE CITY CLERK CLASSIFICATION <br />TO A SALARY RANGE <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted an Ordinance to increase minimum wage for <br />employees that work within the City of Redwood City to $15.38 per hour, effective January <br />1, 2010, and the wage ranges for certain regular, hourly and temporary positions must be <br />adjusted accordingly; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Clerk classification's single salary step <br />be replaced with a salary range for consistency with other Executive Management <br />classifications that are appointed and report directly to the City Manager. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2. The City's Classification and Salary Plan is hereby amended as listed in the <br />full salary plan attached as Exhibit "A". <br />3.
