Direct staff to develop a resource plan to support a community visioning <br />process to shape future development downtown and in central Redwood City, <br />to schedule future City Council consideration of a Transit Sub -District and to <br />develop criteria for future City Council consideration of pending development <br />proposals requiring General Plan amendments (205) MO 19-210 <br />City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz introduced the item. Community <br />Development and Transportation Director Mark Muenzer made a presentation. <br />Public Comment: <br />• Jeff Smith <br />• Brian Jaffe <br />• Leora Ross <br />• Matt Larson <br />• Kris Johnson <br />• Roland LeBrun <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Direct staff to develop a resource plan to support a community visioning <br />process to develop a new land use vision for Central Redwood City, with an <br />initial emphasis on rail and transportation planning; and <br />2. Direct staff to schedule future City Council consideration of creation of a <br />Transit Sub -District; and <br />3. Direct staff to develop criteria for the City Council to consider in evaluating <br />pending General Plan Amendment Initiation requests between February and <br />April 2020. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEC,A) <br />Motion and second, Howard and Borgens, to adopt staff recommendations to <br />develop a resource plan to support a community visioning process to develop a <br />new land use vision for Central Redwood City, with an initial emphasis on rail <br />and transportation planning; to schedule future City Council consideration of <br />creation of a Transit Sub -District; and to develop criteria for the City Council to <br />consider in evaluating pending General Plan Amendment Initiation requests <br />between February and April 2020.
