In the event of failure to comply with the above-mentioned conditions within a reasonable time <br />after notice, the City will have the defects repaired and made good at the expense of the Bidder, who <br />agrees to pay the costs and charges therefore immediately upon demand. <br />The signing of this agreement by the Bidder shall constitute agreement to the above guarantees. <br />13. WARRANTY <br />The warranty on all vehicles and cab and chassis shall be the standard manufacturer's warranty for <br />60 months or 60,000 miles. The warranty on all service bodies, lifts and other components specified <br />on the individual specifications sheets shall be a minimum of 12 months' parts and labor. Bidders <br />should specify any additional warranties offered on specific vehicles. <br />14. DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES <br />It is the responsibility of the Successful Bidder to act on behalf of the City and submit all required <br />registration forms and supporting documentation to the Department of Motor Vehicles in order to <br />obtain exempt license plates for each vehicle purchased from the Bidder. The Successful Bidder will <br />also furnish the Department of Motor Vehicles with a report of sale, smog certificate, the City's <br />exempt registration form (Reg. 217) and all other needed paperworlc on behalf of the City. <br />15. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT <br />The Bidder shall prepare all articles and materials for shipment in such a manner as to protect them <br />from damage in transit, and shall be responsible for and repair all damaged parts or replace all losses <br />incurred in transit to the designated delivery point and not later than the specified delivery date. When <br />necessary, heavy parts shall be mounted on skids or crated, and all articles or materials that might <br />otherwise be lost shall be boxed or wired in bundles. All articles shall be plainly marked for <br />identification and destination. The Bidder shall prepare proper commercial bills of lading 2 (two) <br />copies of which, together with a complete shipping list, shall be sent to Redwood City Fleet, 1400 <br />Broadway Street, Redwood City, CA 94063. <br />16. SHIPPING WEIGHT <br />Each Bidder shall state in his or her proposal the total slipping weight, listing and segregating the <br />individual unit weights and shipping weights, if F.O.B. point of shipment. <br />17. DELIVERIES; DISTANCE; EXTENSION OF TIME <br />"Delivery" is defined as complete delivery of equipment, materials, vehicles or supplies free and clear <br />from any and all claims, debts or demands what so ever to Redwood City Fleet, 1400 Broadway <br />Street, Redwood City, CA 94063, <br />The Bidder's Bid Submission will specify the maximum number of days till delivery to Redwood <br />City, example: 60 days from the date the City mails the purchase order to the successful Bidder. Date <br />ranges are not allowed, example: 90-120 days from the date the City mails the purchase order to the <br />successf it Bidder. <br />In the event the new vehicle(s) have not been delivered to Redwood City Fleet (1400 Broadway Street, <br />Redwood City, CA 94063) within the specified maximum number of days till delivery to Redwood <br />City, the contract between the successful Bidder and the City may be considered null and void. <br />AIPDG�= <br />I&E., <br />
