DES:djk ~Q/14/95 (022/41) <br /> 0 R I G I N a L 9/25/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12609 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR OAKWOOD AREA MANHOLE AND <br /> VALVE BOX RAISING PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br />solicited for the Oakwood Area Manhole and Valve Box Raising <br />Project in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation two bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the <br />Department of Community Development, Engineering Division; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, West Valley Construction Company, Inc. of Menlo <br />Park, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of West <br /> <br />Valley Construction Company, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of West Valley Construction Company, Inc., in <br />the amount of Twelve Thousand Forty-five and No/100 Dollars <br />($12,045.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br />dated September 11, 1995, for the Oakwood Area Manhole and Valve <br />Box Raising Project in the City of Redwood City, is hereby <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br />09/14/95) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California and West Valley <br />Construction Company, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file <br /> <br /> <br />
