02/10/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15823 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF STOP <br />SIGNS ON WARREN STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH <br />HOWLAND STREET <br />WHEREAS, the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Devices (Manual) has been <br />adopted by the California Department of Transportation and by the City of Redwood <br />City to provide uniform standards for all traffic control devices; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 213.07 of the Manual states that the use of multi -way stop <br />signs should be based on an engineering study. One of the criteria which may be <br />considered in the study includes the need to control vehicle/pedestrian conflicts near <br />locations that generate high pedestrian volumes; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff's investigation, as described in the staff report, has <br />confirmed the existence of these conditions at the subject site. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
