In addition, the
Leadership Council seeks resources and provides the forum in which issues impacting the
community served by Redwood City 2020 can be raised and addressed in a collaborative manner.
Membership: Each Redwood City 2020 partner organization is entitled to have up to two
members from the policy body of its organization serve on the Leadership Council. These
members should be elected or appointed directors, or have equivalent policy level responsibility
in their respective organization.
Structure: The Leadership Council will annually select a Chair from its members, who will be
responsible for leading the meetings of the Leadership Council, serving as liaison between the
Leadership Council and the Executive Team, and working with the Executive Director to develop
meeting agendas. This position will rotate among partner organizations on an annual basis every
August.
Meetings: The Leadership Council will meet at least five (5) times annually. Additional meetings
will be scheduled as needed. The Leadership Council may choose to have one of these meetings
designated as a "joint policy meeting," in which the Redwood City 2020 Executive Team and
Leadership Council will meet together. The Leadership Council may choose to convene a meeting
of the community and program partners that work in Redwood City 2020 priority areas to share
information and receive input about community needs.
The dates selected for Leadership Council meetings for FY 2019-20 include:
Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 8:30 AM —1:00 PM (Joint Policy Meeting)
Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM
Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM
Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM
Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM
Redwood City 2020 Executive Team
Role: Oversees operational coordination of Redwood City 2020 initiatives by supporting and
advising the Executive Director, reviewing data and aiding the evaluation of programs and
initiatives, making recommendations to the Leadership Council regarding policy, program and
resource allocation, identifying challenges and community needs and developing suggestions for
REV: 10-23-19 RL
ATfY/AGR.2019.273/Sequoia Healthcare District (Page 5 of 7)
