6.E. - Page 2 of 6 <br />ANALYSIS <br />On February 24, 2020, the City Council introduced an Ordinance amending Section 32.132 of the Municipal <br />Code regarding business license tax exemptions for veterans. If adopted, this Ordinance will take effect <br />30 days after this action (April 8, 2020). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Currently, no businesses are exempt due to veteran status. Therefore, the City will experience no <br />immediate fiscal impact. Future impact is expected to be minimal. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />This law applies to all cities throughout the state, including Redwood City.
