Yesterday, while <br />practicing social distancing and handwashing, I had lunch with a woman who works as a caregiver for an <br />elderly woman. Both of them are Redwood City residents. The caregiver received a 60 eviction notice last <br />week. She's a single mom and has been living in her home for 22 years. Moving probably means moving out of <br />the area. Which means finding a new job and changing her children's schools. And then leaving an elderly <br />woman without a caregiver in a time when our elders potentially need care more than ever. We are all on high <br />alert right now. Adding the stress of needing to secure housing, employment, and schooling in the midst of this <br />is detrimental to our community in so many ways. <br />Sincerely, <br />Katie Goetz <br />
