FXS:mge n8/02/95 (053c/40) <br /> <br /> -- 0 R I G I N A L 8/14/95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12591 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF SANTA <br /> CLARA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES <br /> <br /> (OPERATION BROWN BAG) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San <br />Mateo Counties ("Contractor") conducts a free food distribution <br />program for elderly residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Eight Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($8,000.00) from its Community Development <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Second Harvest Food Bank <br />of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties (Operation Brown Bag)", <br />(form dated 08/02/95), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo <br />Counties, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br /> <br /> <br />
