S.F. - Page 13 of 13 <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant will delegate Build Up for San Mateo County's Children ("Build Up") to <br />coordinate and catalyze child care solutions initiative activities. Essential duties and <br />responsibilities of Build Up will include: <br />• Convene partners <br />• Perform strategic community involvement activities, including, but not limited to <br />driving conversations about reusing and re -designation of facility space <br />• Provide technical assistance to a wide variety of stakeholders, including <br />developers, child care operators and child care home providers to increase <br />knowledge and capacity to preserve, develop, and expand child care spaces <br />• Leverage partnerships to tie child care to other community infrastructure, such as <br />housing and transportation <br />• Identify opportunities for collaboration and revenue generation, working with the <br />Redwood City 2020 team pursue partnership and funding to support the <br />advancement of this initiative <br />• Serve as advocate and support the implementation of solution -oriented pilot <br />projects <br />• Support and align with the work of the Child Care Coordinating Council, Build Up <br />SMC, etc. <br />• Additional deliverables to be determined in partnership with the City of Redwood <br />City and Redwood City 2020 <br />Redwood City 2020 will pay Consultant a technical assistance fee in the amount of <br />$68,000 for the completion of work and services described.
