CLK-Roger Hardy
From: PublicComment
Sent: Wednesday, April 15, 2020 12:55 PM
To: CLK-Roger Hardy
Cc: CLK-Yessika Dominguez
Subject: FW: Public comment - To be submitted for tonight's public comments
Hi Roger, please archive this with the 4/13 agenda packet. Thank you.
Pamela Aguilar, CMC
City Clerk
City of Redwood City
Phone: (650) 780-7222
Redwood
E-mail:paguilar@redwoodcity.org
CityICalifornia www.redwoodcity.org
7 Founded 186611
In response to guidance from public health officials, City administrative offices, including City Hall, are closed to the
public until further notice. Essential City services, including Police, Fire, public utilities, public infrastructure and social services will
continue to operate. All customer services are being modified to provide for employee and community safety. Many City services are
being provided remotely, by phone or email.
For more information, please visit the City's website at www.redwoodcity.org/coronavirus. Please note that the San Mateo County
Health Department addresses Frequently Asked Questions here. You may also call the COVID-19 Call Center at 2-1-1 with all non-
emergency and non-medical inquiries. The Call Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
*If you are submitting a Public Records Act request, please be advised that in-person inspection or pickup of records is on hold while
City Hall is closed. Additionally, there may be delays to production of records. However, the City Clerk's Office will make every effort to
provide records electronically and timely. We thank you for your patience during these unprecedented circumstances.
From: Carol Cross <cross0828@yahoo.com>
Sent: Monday, April 13, 2020 4:50 PM
To: PublicComment <publiccomment@redwoodcity.org>
Subject: To be submitted for tonight's public comments.
First, let me extend my sincere thank you to the entire Council and City
staff for working so hard to keep our residents safe and well-informed
during this coronavirus crisis. Your efforts are much appreciated.
someday, hopefully sooner rather than later, this crisis will have passed.
what's coming, the worsening and still further worsening of the effects of
climate change, won't be dealt with as easily - and no one is saying that
dealing with this present crisis has been easy!
I'm encouraged, though, by how we've been able to pull together and do
what's right for the greater good: keeping the community safe. we've seen
it can be done. Fighting the climate crisis will look different from
fighting the COVID-19 crisis, but we've seen that political will can move
mountains. Further, we've seen that when people understand the problem and
the consequences of NON -action, they are willing to make the changes
