First, let me extend my sincere thank you to the entire Council and City staff for working so hard to keep our residents safe and well-informed during this coronavirus crisis. Your efforts are much appreciated. someday, hopefully sooner rather than later, this crisis will have passed. what's coming, the worsening and still further worsening of the effects of climate change, won't be dealt with as easily - and no one is saying that dealing with this present crisis has been easy! I'm encouraged, though, by how we've been able to pull together and do what's right for the greater good: keeping the community safe. we've seen it can be done. Fighting the climate crisis will look different from fighting the COVID-19 crisis, but we've seen that political will can move mountains. Further, we've seen that when people understand the problem and the consequences of NON -action, they are willing to make the changes
