FXS:mge (0~/02/95 (053g/40) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 8/14/95 <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I 0 N N O. 12583 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH JEAN WEINGARTEN PENINSULA ORAL SCHOOL <br /> FOR THE DEAF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral School for the Deaf <br />("Contractor") conducts an nonprofit oral education center for <br />deaf and hearing impaired children of Redwood City (the <br />"Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to make capital improvements to their facilities (access <br />rail and bathroom renovation) during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Fifteen <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($15,000.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds, Rehabilitation Program Income, for <br />the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Jean Weingarten Peninsula <br />Oral School for the Deaf. (Capital Improvement Project)," (form <br />dated 08/02/95), by and between the City of Redwood City and Jean <br /> <br /> <br />
