FXS:mge 0m/02/95 (053f/40) <br /> <br /> ~ 0 R I G I N A L 8/~4/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12578 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH CANADA COLLEGE <br /> <br /> (JOB TRAINING UNIT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Canada College ("Contractor") conducts a job <br />training unit for low income residents of the City of Redwood <br />City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred <br />Twenty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($120,000.00) from its <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing <br />purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY., <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Canada College (Job <br />Training Unit), (form dated 08/02/95), by and between the City of <br />Redwood City and Canada College, a copy of which agreement is on <br />file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br />hereby made for full particulars thereof is hereby approved and <br /> <br /> <br />
