DES:djk 0~/14/95 (005/41) <br /> ~R I G I N A n 8/14/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12576 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ENDORSING REQUIREMENTS OF METROPOLITAN <br /> TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) RELATING TO ALLOCATION <br /> OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR SURFACE TRANSPORTATION AND <br /> CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROGRAMS WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 11989, adopted May 24, 1993, this <br />Council acknowledged its participation in, and obligation of <br />local funds to, the Surface Transportation Program and the <br />Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program <br />(collectively, the "Programs") for roadway and bikeway projects <br />in the City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the San Francisco Bay <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission ("MTC"), all federal <br />transportation projects funded under the Intermodal Surface <br />Transportation Efficiency Act ("ISTEA") shall be endorsed by the <br /> <br />participating local jurisdictions; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby declares and acknowledges that: (a) <br />All federal funds approved for the Project can be obligated <br />thereto on or before September 30, 1997; <br /> <br /> (b) The constructed Project is and/or shall be constructed <br /> as substantially in conformance with the description thereof in <br /> the original Project application; and <br /> <br /> (c) Grant funding shall be fixed and that any increases in <br /> costs exceeding amounts granted shall be funded by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
