DES:djk 07/27/95 (050/39) <br /> RIGINAL <br /> Y 8/14/95 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12564 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF WATER METERS AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br /> CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br />competitive bidding for the hereinafter described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Services requires <br />various sized water meters to facilitate the replacement of <br />existing older type water meters and for the installation of <br />additional water meters in new developments in Redwood Shores; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of <br />said water meters in an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars ($80,000.00); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby approves the purchase of various <br />water meters for the replacement of existing older type water <br />meters and for the installation of additional water meters in new <br />developments in Redwood Shores from Sensus Technologies, Inc. of <br />Placentia, California, in an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($80,000.00). <br /> <br /> 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br />authorized herein (in form approved by the City Attorney) for and <br />on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
