Redwood <br />1City i zzmo <br />1W <br />Staff recommends modifying the period of attendance calculation for the purposes <br />of administering the policy to align with the fiscal year, July 1 through June 30.The <br />adjustment will: <br />Result in no substantial change to member terms; <br />Simplify facilitation by calculating attendance for a set period of time for all <br />members rather than a rolling basis that may vary member -to -member; and <br />Increase clarity of the policy for BCC members whose attendance is being <br />monitored. <br />No other changes to the policy are being proposed <br />Staff discussed the attendance policy with the City Council's Governance Sub - <br />Committee (Council Member Borgens, Vice Mayor Masur and Mayor Howard) on <br />April 14, 2020, and the Sub -Committee supported the proposed revisions. <br />4of4 <br />
