6.A. - Page 1 of 52 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />\:3aAW <br />DATE: May 18, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Single Audit Report and other Independent Auditor's Reports for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, accept the City's Single Audit Report and other Independent Auditor's Reports for the fiscal <br />year ended June 30, 2019. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City's independent auditors, Maze and Associates, Certified Public Accountants, have completed their <br />audit of the City's financial records for FY 2018-19 and have prepared the following reports: Single Audit <br />Report; Independent Accountant's Report on the City's Gann Appropriations Limit; Independent Auditor's <br />Report on the City's Measure A Transportation Fund; and an audit of the City's Utility Users' Tax Fund. <br />These reports have been prepared in accordance with the standards set forth by the Governmental <br />Accounting Standards Board and Government Auditing Standards. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The aforementioned reports are required annually as part of the City's audit process and are distributed <br />to various agencies to ensure compliance with certain laws and regulations.
