B. Mills Act Contract Agreement for Historic Landmark at 610 Edgewood Road, "The <br /> Williams Residence" a historic landmark, in accordance with Sections 50280 et. seq. of <br /> the California Government Code; (612) <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Jany introduced Historic Resources Advisory Board Chairperson Ken <br /> Rolandelli who gave a presentation of the Mills Act. He stated the Mills Act provides for a <br /> reduction in property taxes for qualified historic properties, meaning those officially designated <br /> landmarks or historically contributing structures within officially designated historical districts. <br /> He explained the Mills Act, benefits of the agreement, the contract approval process and <br /> highlights of the agreement. <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Jany provided a slide presentation of the property to be considered. <br /> <br /> M/S Harnett/Ira to Approve the Agreement for Historic Property Preservation, including the <br /> "Mills Act Contract Proposal" submitted by the property owners to the City on November 26, <br /> 2001 (to be incorporated as Exhibit "C" of the subject Agreement), as recommended for <br /> approval by the Planning Commission and Historic Resources Advisory Committee. <br /> <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present with Council Member Ruskin <br /> absent. MINUTE ORDER 01-193 <br /> <br /> C. Mills Act Contract Agreement for Historic Landmark at 197 Wellesley Crescent, "The <br />~ ' Daniel Stafford House", a historic landmark, in accordance with Sections 50280 et. seq. of <br /> the California Government Code; (612) <br /> <br /> Principal Planner Jany stated that the property had been considered and designated an historical <br /> landmark by the City Council on August 27, 2001. He confirmed that the Mills Act provides <br /> property tax relief in exchange for property maintenance according to set standards and <br /> programs outlines. <br /> <br /> M/S Jordan/Howard to Approve the Agreement for Historic Property Preservation, including <br /> the "Mills Act Contract Proposal" submitted by the property owners to the City on November <br /> 15, 2001 (to be incorporated as Exhibit "C" of the subject agreement), as recommended for <br /> approval by the Planning Commission and Historic Resources Advisory Committee. <br /> <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present with Council Member Ruskin <br /> absent. Approval of Redesign for Three Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities Projects, Redwood <br /> Shores; (702) <br /> <br /> City Engineer Lynch explained the background and the notification process and various <br /> meetings held.
