7.B. - Page 36 of 79 <br />If appropriate, describe publicly owned land or property located within the jurisdiction that <br />may be used to address the needs identified in the plan <br />The City does not anticipate the use of any publicly owned property to be used as part of this plan. <br />Discussion <br />The primary activities the City of Redwood City will fund in the next year are: <br />• Support social services to low-income households <br />• Support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness <br />• Improvement of economic opportunities <br />• Development of affordable housing <br />Each of these activities and projects will require resources outside of the CDBG and HOME funding. As <br />such, they will utilize other financial resources from private, state and local resources. As an example, the City <br />also provides $100,000 from the General Fund annually for Human Services Financial Assistance (HSFA). <br />This is to increase the City's support for public services since CDBG regulations limit funding to 15 percent <br />of the total award.
