The existing building is situated on the lot with
assessor's parcel number 054-081-140 while the parking for the existing building is located on an adjacent
lot with assessor's parcel number 054-081-010. The lot with the building is within Redwood City's
jurisdiction and the lot with the parking is within San Mateo County's jurisdiction.
ANALYSIS
Tranente One LLC, a California limited liability company, is the owner of 860 Charter Street and submitted
a building permit application (B19-1833), to the City to remodel the existing building. Due to the adjacent parcel with parking being in San
Mateo County's jurisdiction, there is a possibility that the lot could be sold and developed in the future,
eliminating Fire Department access and exit pathways from the building. To ensure that fire code and
building code requirements are complied with, a covenant for a no build easement was prepared for the
Page 1 of 2
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
54
