06/08/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15854 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN <br />TO UPDATE THE SALARY RANGES FOR CITY MANAGER, CITY <br />ATTORNEY, AND CLASSIFICATIONS IN EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT, <br />SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 521 (SEIU), <br />REDWOOD CITY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION <br />(RCMEA), CONFIDENTIAL, POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION <br />(PSA), AND CHIEF OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (COA), AND AMENDING <br />THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SUMMARY OF BENEFITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the Redwood City Council periodically <br />determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and benefits plan for appointed <br />classifications. <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Council approved a cost -of -living adjustment (COLA) <br />in the amount of 3.5% for Executive Management, PSA, COA, RCMEA, Confidential, and <br />SEIU, effective July 6, 2020, September 12, 2020, October 12, 2020, October 12, 2020, <br />October 12, 2020, and February 1, 2021 respectively. <br />WHEREAS, Amendments were made to the Executive Management Summary of <br />Benefits to update list of classifications within Executive Management, and to amend the <br />CaIPERS mandatory member contribution for new members (Tier 3) as governed by the <br />Public Employees Pension Reform Act (PEPRA). <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
