Two firms were #ound to be equally <br /> qualified and experienced; The Coveflo Group, Inc. ("Covetlo"}, and CSG Consultants, <br /> Inc. ("CSG'�. <br /> The City has initiated six recycled water distribution pipeline construction projects over <br /> the past iwo years (Bid Packages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6}. Bid Packages 1 and 2 are 95% <br /> and 100% respectively cvmpleted. Bid Packages 3 and 4 are each 95% compteted. <br /> Bid Package 5 is 70% campleted and scheduled far ful! completion in March 2008. 8id <br /> Package 6 was awarded on January 28, 2008. Additionatly, Bid Package 7 is <br /> scheduled for bidding by March 2008. Bid Packages $ and 9 are scheduled for <br /> bidding before July 2008. <br /> The worlc of Bid Packages 1 through 4 constructed part of the distribution system to <br /> deliver recycled water to existing commercia! irrigation and City roadway landscape <br /> custamers in westerly Redwood Shores. Bid Packages 5 through 7 extends service to <br /> industrial customers in the Seaport Area. This work consists of the installation of the <br /> main transmi5sion piping system in Seapart Area along Seaport Boulevard, Blomquist <br /> Street, and East Bayshore Road. More than 10,000 f�et of pipe, ranging €rom 8 inches <br /> to 14 inches in diameter, will be installed within ten months. <br /> CoveNo and CSG are equaAy quaiified and selection of one of these frms fior any phase <br /> of the project to date has been largely a matter of avai�ability and specialization. <br /> Council has previausly approved agreements with CSG for Bid Packages 1 through 4. <br /> Counci( has previously approved an agreernent wi#h CoveAo for Bid Package 5. Both <br /> Cavello and CSG have successfully pravided construction management sen�ices far the <br /> recycled water praject. Covello's seroices are preferred on Bid Packages 6 and 7 <br /> because of the greater availability of their key personnel du�ing the time period <br /> scheduled for this project <br />
