RAC uses crumb rubb�r fram disused tires as part of a roadway <br /> resurfacing/repair treatment_ The City has successfuNy used rubberized asphal# <br /> concrete chip sea! on previous roadway maintenance and rehabilitatian projects. <br /> The CIWMB requires Council approval, by resofution, of the grant application prior to <br /> March 7, 2408. The Fisca! Year 2007-2008 budget for the Asphalt Rubber Chip Seai <br /> Project is $48Q,246.00. Staff estimates receipt of $25,000.40 if funds are awarded. <br /> Grant funds wilf be used ta increase the amount of roadway rehabilitated thfs year. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council may choose not to approve the grant applicatinn, and consequently become <br /> +neiigible to apply for grant funds. <br /> �15CA1. IMPACT <br /> This grant does not require matching funds. If awarded this cycle and in future cycles, <br /> grant funds wil! augment current �iscal year appropriations for #he Roadway <br /> Management System Program (Gas Tax Constructian, and Transportatian °Measure "A° <br /> funds. ) <br />
