6.3A <br /> Page 3 <br /> RES4LUTiC?N NO. <br /> RES4LUTION APPROVING AND AUTH4R1ZfNG SUBMITTAL OF <br /> APPLICATlONS TO THE CALIFORNIA 1NTEGRATED WASTE <br /> MANAGEMENT BOARD FOR GRANT FUNDING RUBBERIZED <br /> ASPHALT RESURFACING PROJECTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL GRANT DOCUMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, Public Resaurces Cade §40000 et seq. authorize the Caiifornia <br /> Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB} to administer various Grant Programs <br /> in furth�rance of the State af California's (State) efforts to reduce, recycle and reuse <br /> solid waste genera#ed in the State thereby preserving landfili capacity and protecting <br /> pubfic health and safety and the environment; and <br /> WHEREAS, in #urtherance of this authority the CIWMB is requires to establish <br /> procedures governing the appiication, awarding, and management of the grants; and <br /> WHEREAS, Grant Application procedures require an Applicant's governing body <br /> to authorize by resolution its approval for submittai of the Grant Application(s) identified <br /> below, ancf the designation by job titie of the individual authorized to execute all Grant <br /> documents on behalf of the City of Redwoad City; and <br /> WHEREAS, if awarded, the City of Redwood City will enter into a Grant <br /> Agreement with the CIWMB for imp{ementation of sa+d Grant(s). <br /> NOW, THERE�ORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDW40D CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the City Council au#horizes the submittal of applica#ion(s) to the <br /> ClWMB for all grants for which the City of Redwood City is eligible. <br /> 2. That this authorization is effective for 5 years: from March �, 2008 through <br /> March 1, 2013; time period no# ta exceed five {5) years from da#e of adoption. <br /> 3.
