DES:djk 0v/07/95 (004/41) <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> 7/17/95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12529 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT <br /> VALVES FOR THE HOLLY STREET PRESSURE REGULATOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br /> solicited for the purchase of replacement valves for the Holly <br /> Street Pressure Regulator in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three bids were <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, McGuire & Juvet, Inc. of Santa Clara, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and <br />desire of this Council to accept the bid of said McGuire & Juvet, <br />Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of McGuire & Juvet, Inc. of Santa Clara, <br />California for the sale of replacement valves to the City of <br />Redwood City in the amount of Thirteen Thousand Four and No/100 <br />Dollars ($13,004.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposals dated June 23, 1995 and June 30, 1995, is hereby <br />accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br />lowest responsible bidder in response to solicitation for bids <br />without advertisement for said purchase. <br /> <br /> 2. Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br />McGuire & Juvet, Inc. is, and each of them are, hereby waived. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute such purchase orders or other purchase documents (in form <br />approved by the City Attorney) to effectuate the purchase <br />approved hereby. <br /> <br /> <br />
