.; ... 01/07/2008 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 14834 RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF ISLAND PARKWAY IN REDWOOD SHORES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; RESERVING A PUBLIC SERVICES EASEMENT (55' WIDE) WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at Section 8300) of Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the City of Redwood City ("City Council"), by Resolution No. 14819, adopted November 19, 2007, declared its intention to vacate the hereinafter described 55' wide right-of-way; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the California Streets and Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate the herein described portion of Island Parkway has been published and posted; and WHEREAS, a noticed public hearing on the question of vacating said portion of Island Parkway, as described below, has been held and evidence thereon received by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. 2. The City Council finds that the hereinafter described portion of Island Parkway (55' wide) is unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes and hereby orders said portion of Island Parkway vacated in the City of Redwood City. 3. The City reserves a Public Services Easement (PSE) (55' wide) over the formerly existing street. 4. The portion of Island Parkway to be vacated and the PSE to be reserved is shown and more fully described in Attachments 1, 2, and 3 that are attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. 5.
