CLK-Pamela Aauilar
From: Diane Warner <djdoodles@gmail.com>
Sent: Friday, August 7, 2020 11:42 AM
To: CLK-Pamela Aguilar; GRP -City Council
Subject: New homes - SUPPORT
Dear Redwood City Councilmembers,
I'm writing to express my support for all of the proposed new homes, as part of the Gatekeeper process.
We need affordable housing now more than ever. As millions of us shelter in place, the reality is inescapable:
very little matters as much as a safe, stable home.
Covid-19 has also taught us that swift, ambitious, decisive, effective action is possible. Government officials
can help address this crisis and create sustainable systems. But it's up to us to make it happen by standing
together with our neighbors, co-worker, friends, and family.
Please approve a General Plan amendment so that we can build more homes, especially the affordable
homes.
My 57 year old son with chronic mental illness was homeless during covid 19 due to no fault of his own. The
family had to put him up in motels because there was no supported housing available. In addition to affordable
homes please create more
living opportunities for people like my son who have vouchers.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
Diane Warner
d'doodles mail.com
1616 Gordon St #221
Redwood City, CA 94061
