As millions of us shelter in place, the
reality is inescapable: very little matters as much as a safe, stable home.
Covid-19 has also taught us that swift, ambitious, decisive, effective action is possible.
Government officials can help address this crisis and create sustainable systems. But it's
up to us to make it happen by standing together with our neighbors, co-worker, friends, and
family.
Please approve a General Plan amendment so that we can build more homes,
especially the affordable homes.
My only reservation is that I strongly believe that the Cargill site should remain
undeveloped. Redwood City voters previously rejected a plan that developers
worked extremely hard to push. There were multiple good reasons for the rejection,
and is this General Plan amendment would further efforts to develop what was
rejected the first time, I would oppose the whole plan.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
Annie Tate
305 B Street
Redwood City
