Study session for consideration of General Plan Amendment initiation <br />requests for four separate housing development projects, out of a total of 10 <br />development projects, submitted as part of the Gatekeeper process <br />Recommendation: <br />Hold a study session to consider the primarily residential projects requesting <br />consideration of a General Plan Amendment and provide feedback on the <br />proposals. This is a Study Session and no formal action will occur at this hearing. <br />The following projects request consideration of a General Plan amendment: <br />1. 1205-1295 Veterans & 1260 Oddstad <br />2. 651 EI Camino Real (American Legion) <br />a. Option 1 requires a Zoning Amendment <br />b. Option 2 requires a General Plan amendment & Downtown Precise <br />Plan (DTPP) Amendment <br />3. 505 East Bayshore Road <br />4. 797 Arguello Street <br />The following residential development project has formally withdrawn from the <br />Gatekeeper process, as it does not require a General Plan amendment, and can <br />be considered through a development application under the existing Downtown <br />Precise Plan. <br />1. 1322 EI Camino Real (Record Man) <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />8. City Council Member Referral: Consideration of a Resolution Declaring that <br />Black Lives Matter and Reaffirming the City Council's Commitment to Racial <br />Equity, and Consideration of Commissioning a Mural or Monument Reflecting <br />the City's Commitment to Racial Equity <br />Recommendation: <br />Consider the following actions: <br />1) Approve a resolution developed by the City Council Communications Sub - <br />Committee declaring that Black Lives Matter and reaffirming the City Council's <br />commitment to racial equity and <br />2) Direct staff to provide analysis and recommendations related to <br />commissioning a mural or monument in a visible location in Redwood City that <br />reflects the City's commitment to racial equity. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />3 <br />
