UIE"UNODCU
EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Redwood City Council
1017 Middlefield Road
Redwood City, CA 94063
June 30, 2020
Dear honorable members of the Council:
As a locally -based homebuilder, Regis Homes (part of the Sares Regis Group) is deeply invested in the
success and vitality of our community.
Regis Homes has made a generous offer to support the Redwood City Education Foundation with a
$50,000 gift as part of the 505 E. Bayshore proposal. $20,000 will be donated in $5,000 increments each
year for four years, and $30,000 will be donated in $500 increments upon the sale of each Townhome in
the name of the new homeowner. Regis Homes has a similar partnership established in the Belmont
Redwood Shores School District that has been tremendously successful.
We expect the next few years to be extremely difficult for our Redwood City school system amid
anticipated Redwood City School District budget cuts in the 2021-2022 school year and dwindling private
support. This support will be critical for ensuring that our community's students can access high-quality
education.
While RCEF cannot take a position on the merits of the 505 Bayshore proposal, we wish to highlight the
great work that Regis Homes is doing to directly invest in Redwood City schools and kids.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
M U_
Marilyn Ezrin
Board President
Redwood City Education Foundation
P.O.BOX 3046, REDWOOD CITY CA 94063
WWW.RCEF.ORG
