7.A. - Page 16 of 32 <br />Sec. 20.101.5. - PARKING OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES PROHIBITED; <br />REMOVAL BY POLICE: <br />A. Definitions. For purposes of this section, the following words and phrases <br />shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them: <br />RECREATIONAL VEHICLE shall mean any vehicle or trailer which is <br />designed for human habitation or occupancy or designed or used for <br />recreational camping or travel use, whether self-propelled or mounted on <br />or drawn by another vehicle, or any structure inspected, approved and <br />designated as a recreational vehicle by and bearing the insignia of the <br />State of California or any other state or federal agency having the authority <br />to approve recreational vehicles. "Recreational vehicle" shall further mean, <br />without limitation, any of the following: a "camp trailer," as defined by <br />California Vehicle Code Section 242; a "fifth wheel travel trailer," as <br />defined by California Vehicle Code Section 324; a "house car," as defined <br />in California Vehicle Code Section 362; a "trailer" as defined in California <br />Vehicle Code Section 630; a "trailer coach," as defined in California <br />Vehicle Code Section 635; a "mobile home," as defined by California <br />Vehicle Code Section 396; a boat, watercraft, and/or a trailer for a boat or <br />watercraft; a "park trailer" as defined in California Health & Safety Code <br />Section 18009.3; a "recreational vehicle" as defined in California Health & <br />Safety Code Section 18010; and a "truck camper" as defined in California <br />Health & Safety Code Section 18013.4. <br />DWELLING shall mean the same as the definition of the word "Dwelling" <br />in Article II of the Redwood Citv Zonina Ordinance. <br />B. Prohibitions: <br />Notwithstanding any other provision of the Redwood City Municipal Code, <br />no person shall park, stop, or leave standing any recreational vehicle upon <br />a public street, alley, or highway within the City or a parking lot owned or <br />leased by the City between the hours of eight o'clock (8:00) P.M. and five <br />o'clock (5:00) A.M. of any day, except as provided within subsection C of <br />this section. Violators will be subject to citation, towing, or both. <br />C. Exemptions: <br />The prohibition in Section B shall not apply to the following: <br />1. A recreational vehicle barked on a street. allev. or hiahwav directiv in <br />front of (or the side of the property if it is a corner lot) the registered <br />recreational vehicle owner's dwelling as defined in subsection A, <br />above, for the purposes of loading and unloading, cleaning, or other <br />activity preparatory or incident to travel.
