Please do not open attachments or click links from an
unknown or suspicious origin. 05xfr21
Dear Esteemed Mayor and Redwood City City Council,
My name is David Benett and I am CEO of Taima Industries, Inc. dba Bento Delivery,
Redwood City's largest and highest grossing licensed cannabis delivery service. I am
writing to you today in support of Redwood City permitting retail cannabis stores as
the next step in its retail cannabis program.
Our business is growing steadily with Redwood City's support and we would love
nothing more than to locate a halo Bento brick and mortar retail storefront within your
great city. We respectfully request that such retail stores be permitting to operate in
any traditional retail location which is in conformance with State requirements.
We believe that in order to be truly successful, for the benefit of operators and
Redwood City alike, cannabis retail needs to be located in traditional retail zones and
not sequestered to outlying industrial areas having poor accessibility. Simply put, a
"Build It and They Will Come" attitude has been proven not to work in our industry.
Our sincere hope is to create a normalized retail experience for our growing customer
base and an accessible and welcoming location is essential.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
David Benett
