First, let me express my gratitude to the council members and Redwood City staff members who have been working so diligently to find a solution to the RV parking issue in the city. Our business has been a Redwood City landmark for over 35 years and we are proud to not only be a good member of the community but also a great employer for the citizens of Redwood City and its surrounding communities. I am also pleased to share with you that our company has contributed more than $20,000 to the San Mateo County Strong Fund to help our local businesses and residents during the Covid-19 pandemic. I strongly urge the council to pass the measures detailed in agenda item 7.A. After having participated myself in several community meetings I believe this is a well thought out plan that should see much success. If there is one weakness to the proposal it is that the one block long Hansen Way, which connects Oddstad Drive to Veterans Blvd., was not included with the other new two hour parking zone mandates. On any given day there are at least 8-10 RVs parked on this one block long street which borders the southern side of the Veterans Square shopping complex, in which we are the anchor tenant. Many people mistakenly believe that Hansen Way is just a continuation of Oddstad Drive. If there is any possibility of adding this very small street to your list of two hour parking zones, I would be deeply grateful. Thank you for your time.
