amended (40 U.S.C. 3141-3148); provided that this section will apply to the rehabilitation <br />of residential property only if such property contains not less than 8 units. <br />A paragraph will be incorporated in every agreement between Subrecipient and <br />third parties in connection to the Project stating that the third party must comply with <br />California Labor Laws and applicable federal requirements. Subrecipient will maintain <br />documentation that demonstrates compliance with hour and wage requirements of this <br />part. Such documentation will be made available to the Grantee for review upon request. <br />28. SECTION 3 OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF <br />1968. Subrecipient will comply with the provisions of Section 3, the regulations set forth <br />in 24 CFR part 135, as that section may be amended from time to time, and all applicable <br />rules and orders of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br />Subrecipient will, to the greatest extent feasible, prioritize making available opportunities <br />for training and employment under this contract to low- and very low-income residents of <br />Redwood City. <br />Subrecipient will include language specifying required compliance with Section 3 <br />of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 in all subcontracts executed under <br />this agreement. <br />Subrecipient certifies and agrees that no contractual or other legal incapacity exists <br />that would prevent compliance with these requirements. <br />29. LEAD-BASED PAINT. The use of lead-based paint is prohibited. In the <br />event lead-based paint is found on residential property, appropriate abatement <br />procedures may be required by City. Subrecipient agrees that any construction or <br />rehabilitation of residential structures with assistance provided under this Agreement shall <br />be subject to HUD Lead -Based Paint Regulations at 24 CFR Section 570.608 and 24 <br />CFR Part 35, Subpart B. <br />30. NOTICES.
