6.1. - Page 3 of 21 <br />developments, neighborhoods, etc. The GIS Division is also responsible for identifying and implementing <br />efficient business technologies for CDT in coordination with Information Technology staff, and manages <br />business data for CDT, prepares reports, and works with staff to analyze performance. <br />In light of similar responsibilities, staff recommends placing this classification in the Executive <br />Management employee group and setting the salary equal to that of Assistant Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Director and Assistant Public Works Services Director at a monthly salary of $12,378 <br />to $16,711. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The classification and salary change noted above will result in an estimated total annual cost of $10,900 <br />for salary and salary -related benefits. There is sufficient funding in the 2020-21 fiscal year budget to cover <br />this expense due to cost savings experienced with the current Community Development Manager - <br />Planning vacancy. Funds to address this cost will be incorporated into the 2021-22 budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may direct staff to conduct further evaluation and recommend alternative <br />classification(s) or salary changes.
