6.J. - Page 11 of 11 <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />The City Council discussed potential updates to the Council's strategic initiatives. There <br />was consensus to approach initiatives through an equity lens. <br />Mayor Howard reactivated the Strategic Plan Update Ad Hoc Committee consisting of <br />Vice Mayor Masur and Council Members Aguirre and Hale. The committee was directed <br />to convene in September and bring back recommendations for updates to the Strategic <br />Plan to the City Council prior to the budget update in October. <br />The City Council discussed the frequency and length of Council meetings and <br />suggestions for streamlining meetings going forward, including alternate approaches for <br />public comment. Mayor Howard will work with Vice Mayor Masur and staff on <br />evaluating suggested adjustments. <br />5.
