<br />serve the public interest because the library furnishings that are purchased through purchasing <br />agencies have been competitively solicited by a lead public jurisdiction in accordance with their <br />purchasing rules and regulations. <br /> <br />4. Strict compliance with Article II, Chapter 2 of the Redwood City code would not <br />serve the public interest because some of the library furnishings that are suitable are of such a <br />unique nature and exclusive design that they are available from a single source only, as <br />identified for each individual item in the furniture plan specifications. <br /> <br />5. The sole source purchase of library furniture from purchasing agencies and from <br />the identified single sources for each individual furniture item in the furniture plan specifications <br />for an amount not to exceed $500,000 is approved <br /> <br />6.
