V)rociamation <br />In Honor of <br />Mexico's Independence Day Celebration <br />WHEREAS, on September 16`h of each year, Mexican immigrants, together with the <br />friends of Central America, celebrate their National Day or "Dia de la Independencia" <br />with great patriotism; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City honors the celebrations of its Central American <br />community at -large; and <br />WHEREAS, the diversity of the residents of Redwood City brings a rich cultural <br />experience to our City; and <br />WHEREAS, we encourage the continuance of bonds and ties of collaboration that <br />stimulate the growth of our communities; and <br />WHEREAS, together we commemorate the National Day of Mexico to reaffirm the warm <br />and friendly bonds that link our city with the people of Mexico. <br />NOW TI-JEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT I, Diane Howard, MAYOR OF <br />REDWOOD CITY on behalf of the City Council, do hereby honor Mexico's Independence <br />Day Celebration and all Mexicans living in the City of Redwood City, for their hard work <br />and contributions of its culture to the community of Redwood City. <br />Date: September 16, 2020 <br />J� Diane Howard Mayor <br />L � <br />Shelly Mosul Vice Mayor <br />A1icjaAjvWrv, Cru cil Munber <br />[i Janet Bor ns.
