<br />6.1A <br />Page 13 <br /> <br />Utility; <br />h) its functioning or performance has not been adversely affected by a failure or <br />insufficiency of the back haul telecommunications network of the Utility used for <br />communications among the components of the Sensus Network; and <br />i) It is installed in compliance with the procedures and specifications approved by <br />and provided to the Utility in writing by Sensus. <br /> <br />5) ''FlexNetâ„¢'' means the system comprised of the Sensus Network and the approved <br />SmartPoints in service in the Territory with customers of Affiliated Utilities, including back- <br />end hardware and Licensed Software. The back-end hardware consists of the RNI <br />hardware and TGB hardware. <br /> <br />6) "FlexNet Network Portal (FNP)" means a pole mounted unit with simple store and <br />forward capability that communicates directly to a TGB. <br /> <br />7) "RNI" means the Regional Network Interface consisting of equipment and F/exWare <br />software used to gather, store and report data collected from SmartPoints and <br />TGSs that are part of the Sensus Network. The FlexWare software operates on the <br />RNI. <br /> <br />8) "TGS" means a Tower Gateway Base station consisting of hardware, firmware and <br />software installed at a tower site and used to communicate by radio with <br />SmarlPoints and the RNI. <br /> <br />9) "Tower Site" means a site on a radio tower, building, or elsewhere where a TGB is <br />located or intended to be installed. <br /> <br />10) "Tower Site Lease" means a lease, license or other right to use or occupy all or a <br />portion of a Tower Site for a TGS. <br /> <br />11 )"Unavailable Meters" include, but are not limited to the following:: <br /> <br />a) Cut At Pole - nominally a meter for which power has been turned off to the socket by <br />the Affiliated Utility <br /> <br />b) Booted on Line Side - nominally a meter for which power has been turned off my <br />placing "boots" in the socket from which the power to the meter has effectively been <br />turned off. <br /> <br />c) Failed or flawed power delivery to the meter socket - an Affiliated Utility power <br />generation, distribution or delivery system failure that has effectively turned off power <br />to the socket and/or meter. <br /> <br />10 <br />
