<br />6.1A <br />Page 16 <br /> <br />Schedule B- SmartPoint Installation <br /> <br />This proposal includes all hardware and software components necessary to facilitate a fully operational <br />meter reading system as specified. Installer will provide on site installation of FlexNet SmartPoints to <br />approximately 531 "Irrigation Route Meters" as discussed in previous correspondence. <br /> <br />It shall be the responsibility of the City to provide information of all locations for all meters to be upgraded <br />in electronic format. Information provided shall include location address, register or body ID number, <br />GPS location of meter in Excel formatting. <br /> <br />Installer will install, to manufacturer's specifications, each FlexNet SmartPoint using only factory <br />authorized installation tools. Installation can commence only after sufficient verification of the Tower <br />Gateway BaseStation (TGB) is operational and fully communicating with the Sensus Regional Network <br />Interface (RNI). Installation must proceed only after TGB/RNI installation and certification by Sensus <br />technical support personnel due to requisite binding and setup messages must be received by the TGB <br />and stored. All hardware and software shall be installed as per Schedule A Statement of Work. <br /> <br />SmartPoint Installation data shall be returned to the City in electronic format only. Data shall be entered <br />into the original format excel spreadsheet as supplied by the City. Data shall include the FlexNet <br />SmartPoint transceiver number and the I'number of flashes' as displayed on the FlexNet installation <br />device. <br /> <br />Field Installation of the FlexNet SmartPoint does not require an interruption of service. In no event shall <br />the installation crew interrupt existing water meter service to the customer. Access to each installation <br />shall be provided by (or arranged by) the City. <br /> <br />Installer will provide all tools and equipment necessary to complete the FlexNet Installation to <br />manufacturer's specifications. <br /> <br />It is anticipated installation of SmartPoint FlexNet transceiver units shall begin within thirty days (30) of <br />contract execution. <br /> <br />City shall make available via cell phone a water department contact to facilitate installation location and <br />validation if necessary. Contact via cell phone is considered critical as to eliminate construction delay. <br /> <br />13 <br />
