A Command Post including 2 Tents. 5.000 watt generator, 2 lights and <br />stands, 1 toilet, and Incident Command System Control White Board <br />. Communications including (1) 2 Meter Amateur Radio base station and <br />antenna, (2) CB Radios, (24) FMRS Radios <br />. 15 Search & Rescue and Damage Assessment Back Packs including: <br />helmets, vests, goggles, gloves, dust masks, flashlight, knee pads, claw <br />hammer, screwdriver set, pliers, crowbar, light sticks, barrier tape, duct tape, <br />paper, whistle & pens <br />. Triage Management Kit for tagging victims on the Roll-a-Stretchers <br />. 4 Disaster Trauma Kits with advanced medical equipment for first aid station <br />. 30 Trauma Patient Packs that include a wrap-a-round thermal blanket <br />. 20 Fanny Pack First Aid Kits serving 3-4 patients each pack, then refilled <br />with back up medical supplies <br />. 6 Boxes of Back up Medical Supplies that potentially could serve 480 <br />patients (This does not include supplies for setting up Red Cross sheUers.) <br />. First 4 placed at Fire Stations in the 4 quadrants. of the City divided by 92 <br />and 101. The program will be expanded to parks, schools, businesses to <br />provide equal access to citizens and city employees and include security. <br />. Activated by CERT trained community members in communication with <br />the City Emergency Operations Center. <br />. $32,181 for each trailer, $128,724 for initial fOUf. ($44,000 from one-time <br />City Council approved expenditure and $84,724 from the $495.000 fire <br />insurance settlement monies. More trailers will be purchased in the future. <br />. Dimension of the trailer is 8' long, 5' high and 5' wide, 1780 Ibs empty, 2280 <br />Ibs loaded, made of water and rodent proof galvanized steel, towed with a <br />standard % ton pick-up truck and 2" hitch ball. <br />. Yearly City-planned drills and exercises will utilize trailers. <br />. Trailers are ready for response in large emergencies such as flooding, <br />earthquakes, fires, and acts of terrorism. <br />. CERT -trained volunteers will inspect and re-stock the trailers on a regular <br />basis keeping the trailers ready for activation 24 hours a day. <br />.
