From:
Desmond Tuck
To:
GRP -City Council
Subject:
Comment and questions for City Council Study Session October 5, 2020
Date:
Monday, October 5, 2020 5:58:27 PM
If the principle of "equity" is applied and it reduces public safety, which of these principles is your priority?
Equity versus efficiency. Which is your priority?
Are there specific examples of "inequity" in policing in Redwood City? If not, why change anything?
Haven't you dealt with this situation already during your term of office?
Why must trouble in another part of the country motivate Redwood City to fix something that isn't broken?
Why did the Council accept in the Obama Foundation Mayor's Pledge, allegations about the killings of
people when the legal system hasn't had a chance to review all the evidence and come to a conclusion?
How can you accept and react reflexively to what is essentially mob rule without allowing the legal system
to function?
Desmond and Elena Tuck
Redwood City
