Andy Anderson. 1591 Regent Street. asked Council to consider adoption of an <br />ordinance to control party noise. stating that other cities have such <br />ordinances which impose the cost of police response to complaints on those <br />making party noise. <br /> <br />In response to question. Police Chief Guardino said that the City of Santa <br />Clara has such an ordinance and he has heard that it has been effective. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Greenalch determined it to be the consensus of Council that <br />staff be directed to look into the subject of a party noise ordinance and <br />submit a report on the subject to the Legislative Committee for review and <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />MEMO 9/13/88 <br /> <br />b. Larry Greathouse. 3627 Farm Hill Boulevard, inquired about the procedure for <br />curb cuts for recreation vehicles. noting that the City ordinance does not <br />provide for the kind of curb cut he requires. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Greenalch determined it to be the consensus of Council that <br />the City Manager be directed to look into the matter and report back to the <br />City Council at a regular Council meeting and that the City Clerk notify Mr. <br />Greathouse when the item will appear on the Agenda. <br /> <br />MEMO 9/13/88 <br /> <br />c. Ralph Nobles, 3720 Country Club Drive, speaking as a representative of the <br />Redwood City COllll1ittee to Complete the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife <br />Refuge per HR 4272 (Edwards). noted that approval of the rela ted map has been <br />a controversial part of the bill and reported that the citizens committee <br />working with Congressman Edwards is recorrmending removal of the map. Mr. <br />Nobles requested Council support for HR 4272 without the map. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Greena 1ch determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />sta te that Counc il is already on record in support 0 f the bi 11 without the <br />map and that if there is a change in the bill. then Council will review the <br />matter at that time. <br /> <br />d.
