6.A. - Page 1 of 7 <br />/<;i1111k <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />wended 1967 <br />\low <br />DATE: October 12, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Amendment No. 3 to agreement with HdL for business license tax and Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) <br />software and services as part of the City's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Replacement Project <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to agreement with HdL <br />to extend business license tax and TOT software and services for three additional years in the amount of <br />$34,167, with two one-year extension options at the City's discretion in the amount of $24,520, for a total <br />amount not to exceed $122,188, and authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if <br />necessary, up to 10% of the amount awarded. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 20, 2019, HdL Prime, the City's new Business License and TOT software went live. HdL Prime <br />streamlines the City's business license processes, provides more robust reporting tools, and provides a <br />web portal for business to submit applications and renewal payments online. <br />On April 8, 2019 and May 20, 2019, staff presented the City Council with a comprehensive update on the <br />ERP vendor selection process and proposed phased approach to implementation of the various systems. <br />Staff also provided background on the contract negotiations, and the recommended approach to bringing <br />the various systems to the City Council for approval at a staggered timeframe. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />10 <br />
