In addition to the <br />Strategic Priorities listed above, some office space would be made available for non-profit and community <br />use, and the building will target a LEED Gold or Platinum rating for sustainable building design and <br />construction. <br />6. 601 Allerton <br />Project Description: The project is a mixed-use development with 80,000 sq. ft. office, 8 units of on-site <br />below market rate housing (level of affordability not indicated), and a 540 sq. ft. retail space on the ground <br />floor. The proposed mixed-use building would be approximately 59 feet in height (5 stories) and the <br />residential units would face Allerton Street. In addition, the project also includes two levels of <br />underground parking, a publicly accessible pickle -ball court on the roof, and a 2,500 sq. ft. publicly <br />accessible clubhouse. <br />• General Plan: Mixed Use — Downtown <br />• Zoning: P (Downtown Precise Plan) <br />• Existing Use: Office (Social Security Administration Office and San Mateo County Probation <br />Pretrial Services) <br />Strategic Priorities: The project addresses the following Council Strategic Priorities: <br />• 8 on-site below market rate units (Housing); <br />• Housing and jobs within close proximity to Caltrain (Transportation); <br />• Publicly accessible pickle -ball court and clubhouse (Children & Youth) <br />Discussion: The proposed project is located in the DTPP and would require a General Plan Amendment <br />and DTTP amendment for additional office sq. ft. development and residential units. The on-site below <br />marking rate units would be integrated into the building, however the level of affordability and the unit <br />sizes have not been provided at this time. The applicants have also committed to a voluntary $3.7 million <br />donation which includes $2 million to the Police Activities League over 15 years and an additional <br />$500,000 to local non -profits focused on children. <br />7. 1900 Broadway (Wells Fargo) <br />Project Description: The project is a mixed-use development with 234,000 sq. ft. of office, 54 units of on- <br />site below market rate housing, and a minimum of 10,000 sq. ft. retail space facing Broadway. The <br />proposal also includes an 8,770 sq. ft. public plaza located on the corner of Broadway and Main Street. <br />The proposed mixed-use building would be approximately 92 feet in height (7 stories) with office located <br />on floors 1-5 and the residential units located on floors 6-7.
