10/12/2020 <br />for Roosevelt Avenue Pilot Traffic Calming Implementation Project, and $100,000 EI Camino Real <br />Corridor Safety Project), and <br />3. Certifying that any funds awarded by the San Mateo County Transportation <br />Authority will be used to supplement existing funds for program activities, and will not replace <br />existing funds or resources, and <br />4. Authorizing the City Manager of the Sponsor, or her designee, to sign a funding <br />agreement with the TA, if funds are awarded, for TA pedestrian and bicycle program funding for <br />the Project and to take any other actions necessary to give effect to this resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. City staff is directed to submit applications for TA Measure A Pedestrian and <br />Bicycle Program funds for $625,000 for the Roosevelt Avenue Pilot Traffic Calming <br />Implementation Project and $300,000 for the EI Camino Real Corridor Safety Project. <br />2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute funding agreements <br />with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority to encumber any TA Pedestrian and Bicycle <br />Program funds awarded. <br />3. The City Council commits to the completion of the Projects, including the <br />commitment of $369,834 ($269,834 for Roosevelt Avenue Pilot Traffic Calming Implementation <br />Project and $100,000 El Camino Real Corridor Safety Project) of matching funds needed for <br />implementation, if awarded the requested TA funds. <br />4. The City Council certifies that any funds awarded by the San Mateo County <br />Transportation Authority will be used to supplement existing funds for program activities, and will <br />not replace existing funds or resources. <br />5. City staff is authorized to take any other actions necessary to give effect to this <br />resolution. <br />6.
